Participants Needed for Bilingual Research Lab
The Bilingual Reading Lab supervised by Dr. Deanna Friesen is looking for children with a variety of backgrounds and their parents to participate in a reading comprehension study.
We are looking for children both with and without Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Participants can be English-only speakers or speak English and another language at home.
Children must be between 10 and 14 years of age.
In this study, children will read a few passages and will complete a few short cognitive tasks. Parents will be asked to complete a background questionnaire about their child.
The study will take approximately 1 and a half hours at Western University, London Ontario.
To participate, you and your child must agree to have your child’s responses audio-recorded.
Your child would receive a $20 Indigo gift card for their participation and you will receive $20 for attending the session.
Your decision to participate or not will have no impact on your relationship with the Mary J. Wright Child and Youth Clinic.
